Ingredients
  

  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 3 Garlic chopped
  • 1 Chilli pepper chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon Allspice
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin
  • ½ teaspoon Chilli flakes
  • 1 can Kidney beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 can Borolotti beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 can Sardine
  • 1 can Chopped tomatoes in juice
  • 1 cup Water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat the oil in a pan under medium heat.
  • Cook the onions until soft and translucent.
  • Add the garlic and the chopped chilli. Stir continuously for about 30 secs.
  • Pour in the smoked paprika, allspice, oregano, cumin and chilli flakes. Continue to stir for another 30 secs.
  • Add the beans and stir for the spices to coat.
  • Pour in the sardines, and the chopped tomatoes.
  • Add a cup of water and some salt to taste.
  • Cover the pan and allow to cook for 15 mins.
  • Remove from heat and serve.

Notes

I used canned beans for convenience, but you can cook the beans from the scratch if you prefer.
